Today at 7pm at STATE Studio in Berlin, writer and neuroscientist Martin Riemer will read central passages of his book “Post Mortem”. The reading is presented as a part of the STATE Studio theme ‘state of longevity, a kick-off event of the exhibition series Fields Experiments.
The reading will be followed by a conversation moderated by Christina Rauch in which themes like longevity (how long the life of a human being will be or were), body perception or space and time perception will come out.
Martin Reimer brings for his debut novel deceased philosophers, politicians, and artists back to life like Vincent van Gogh or Simone de Beauvoir and while the dead struggle with their recovered lives the living demonstrate a rooted longing for immortality or whether or not a human being (or animal) can die.
