From May 22 to June 5, Synthesis Gallery is pleased to present Walkthroughs – A Further Look, with artworks by Claudia Hart, Armin Keplinger and Alfredo Salazar-Caro and a live stream on their Facebook fan page. Armin Keplinger is an old-known by synthesis gallery audience. Last November, they presented ZERO LATITUDE, a work in which Keplinger, who lives and works in Berlin, ‘investigates different states of void and infinity, the collapse of unstable conditions – and their tipping point – as well as ever-changing sculptures,  surface over time.’ Now for For Walkthroughs, Keplinger, in collaboration with Andreas Greiner, presents A/Bruteforce and ms-R. In this piece the viewer is slowly approached and engulfed by a black cloud of dust and detritus. ‘ms-R’ features a moon-sliced ring with zero latitude

Mexican artist Alfredo Salazar-Caro presents Dreams of the Jaguar’s Daughter, a work that combines documentary footage and animation to recreate the dreams and memories of the immigrant Maya Achik on her journey from Guatemala to North America. At the same time, American artist Claudia Hart presents Alice Unchained and ON ZOOMOLOGY. Inspired by Alice in Wonderland and Dona Haraway’s Cyborg Manifesto, Hart defines Alice Unchained as a machine for thinking: a virtual chamber for repose and contemplation.

The live program takes place over three days during May and June at 6 pm CEST. On May 22, Alfredo Salazar-Caro in conversation with George Vitale (synthesis gallery); on May 29, Claudia Hart – a walkthrough and conversation with Christiane Paul (curator – Whitney Museum of American Art) and a live exchange with the artist; and on June 5, Armin Keplinger in conversation with Lydia Korndörfer (Curator – Kunstverein Arnsberg).
