Online events: MUTANT PROMISE, a new platform for creating artist-led workshops

MUTANT PROMISE is a programming, producing and artist booking platform supporting the work of musicians who combine a DIY and workshop practice with their performance, composition and release work. They recently became online residents of Somerset House Studios, Tadeo Lopez-Sendon told CLOT Magazine. Early this month, MUTANT PROMISE announced their new online event programme on July/August 2020 with the likes of artists and musicians like NSDOS, Jessica Ekomane, Ana Quiroga, Amosphère and Toiret Status. 


On July 22, Electronic musician and dancer NSDOS and choreographer and network researcher Dmitry Paranyushkin discuss their ongoing collaboration with EightOS, an open-source body mind operating system combining systems, network science, technology, music, dance, martial arts and artistic practices.


Berlin-based composer Jessica Ekomane will host on July 24this introductory session for working with sound synthesis in the music programming software Max in the context of experimental electronic music performances and sound art. 


On July 29, musician Ana Quiroga will run a workshop introducing the basics of creating a music production session using soundscapes with Ableton Live. And on August 5, Internet sound collective EBM(T) will premiere deep listening environments via a series of personalised concerts, exhibitions, and sessions in a virtual listening room featuring diverse forms of media and immersive setup from the artists.
